• Hi,
This is the 4:th Maintenance plugin I install and it seems easiest so far. But they all have one problem in common: No instruction when/how the Maintenance page kicks in.
What I want is that the Maintenance page shows only during plugin updates, i.e. instead of the core maintenance message. How do I get that? If I check Enabled = Yes, the Maintenance page is on all the time. That is not what I want. Please help me understand.

Hi Indell, the plugin only turns on and off manually, not automatically during plugin updates. It’s really intended for longer term maintenance, when you need your site to be down hours or days while you are implementing more in-depth changes to the site.

Hi Indell, you’ve piqued my curiosity – I take it your plugin upgrade process is fairly substantial or you just have a lot of traffic. On my site the time it’s in plugin upgrade maintenance mode is small so I never thought it was a big problem. Could you elaborate why this feature is important to you? (I’m always looking for important user problems when considering future features) Thanks

Thanks for considering that. Add the option and I will recommend it in a blog post ??
Yes, some of my WordPress sites have lots of traffic and I dread the core maintenance message.
