Missing Main Dashboard Link

    I just installed your calendar and love it. It’s the most stunning calendar I’ve seen so far.

    All works well except the main “Calendar” button that supposed to be under comments (as per your WordPress screenshots) isn’t there. The basic settings are under “Settings” but that doesn’t allow me to get to the calendar or change the event types. I can however add an event from the page it is on so it’s ok for now, but of course I’d like to change some of the options.

    I’ve installed the plugin but the Calendar option does not appear in the Administrative menu (under Comments as shown in the screenshots)

    The issue is likely caused when more than two menu items attempt to inhabit the same menu position.

    This modification has worked for others:

    Edit the ajax-event-calendar.php file.
    Search for the text “add_menu_page(‘Ajax Event Calendar'”.
    Increment the number at the end of the line by one (initially set to 30).
    Save the file.
    Refresh the browser window.
    Repeat until the Calendar option appears in the admin menu

    Let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

    Hi Eran,

    Thank you so much for your immediate response and help! I have never come across this problem so had no idea what to look for. Indeed your modification has worked. I had to increment it to 32, and the plugin is was ‘conflicting’ with in terms of space was Meteor Slides.

    If there is an upgrade for the Plugin, will I need to do this again?

    This solution is temporal, as it only applies to the release to which it is applied. Upon update, you’ll have to reassign the menu position value the works in your situation. There is no way (of which I am aware) native to WordPress, to adjust position for existing items in the admin menu.
    Therefore, I offer this solution as the lesser of all evils.

    PS this must be the only plugin I can’t find the donation link for. Are you accepting donations for the development of your plugin?
