Missing new features after 3.1 installation

  • After installing the german version of wp 3.0.1 some of the new features appear (menu, help …)?but many do not (no events, no posts, no background image/colour etc.).

    I use a Studiopress theme. Does it has to do with that. After changing the theme (acte-+reactivating) the new widget look appeared.

    Do I have to reinstall everything?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the TwentyTen theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
