When I use the YOAST FAQ option on my editor, it throws up this error on my amp pages. I am unable to figure out a solution.

Error: Missing or invalid structured data item
A required property in your structured data is missing, misspelled, or has an invalid value.

  • Hi @banikk,

    Thank you for reaching out.

We understand that you are using our FAQ block on a specific page and that you get a warning/notification from Google saying there is an issue related to the structured data.

We pasted in your URL in the Google Structured Data Testing Tool found here, but couldn’t see any issue. Would you be able to take a screenshot about the exact issue? You can share a screenshot using a service like Snipboard.

I’m facing the error on the AMP testing tool by google when I test my AMP page. https://snipboard.io/LzihIf.jpg

You can produce the error if you test this page on the tool https://strictlylegal
    .in/beginners-guide-to-legal-research-step-by-step?amp

    Hi @banikk,

Thank you for giving us more information! When trying to open that URL in Firefox, we get the following error:

    Content Encoding Error

An error occurred during a connection to strictlylegal.in

Are you using the AMP plugin Reader Template Mode (AMP Legacy)? This is no longer recommended by the AMP plugin itself. Can you try to switch to the Standard Template Mode to see if that fixes the issue for you?

Nope. I am using the Transitional mode which is one of their recommended settings.

    Hi @banikk,

We can understand your concern. We tested the AMP URL in Google’s rich results tool and only saw the “unnamed item” warning for some types like FAQ and Breadcrumbs.

Please know that this does not mean that there is an error in the structured data. See this response in the Google Search Console Help forum.

Just to confirm this isn’t a problem due to Yoast SEO or due to the other non-Yoast schema data in microdata format on the page, we tested the AMP HTML using the “Code Snippet” feature of Google’s Structured Data Testing tool and got the same result of no errors.

If you’d like to get more guidance about why the test results are conflicting, we suggest using the feedback tool on the AMP Test site or posting this issue on the Google Search Console help forum.

    Hi @banikk,

We’re marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. You’re welcome to create a new issue if you need further assistance.
