• I recently upgraded from 2.7 to 2.8.4 using WordPress Automatic Upgrade Plugin. Everything went nearly perfectly. Except – one Page that contained a lot of data is no longer visible in the “Visual” mode. Only red dotted lines appear. Data is intact and viewable at my site. It is also intact and viewable in the “HTML” mode. In fact when I view it in HTML, then switch back to Visual, instead of a blank box with red lines, I now see the HTML version of the data. Any ideas? This is my most popular page and I need to be able to access it easily to edit. Thanks for any and all advice.

  • try resetting your permalinks
    admin – settings – permalinks

You could try using a replacement editor, such as FCKEditor.

I know what you mean, though. I upgraded one of my blogs and after the upgrade my Visual editor broke. I don’t really use the visual editor so no harm, but I was only able to fix it when I did a site redesign and reinstalled WordPress.
