I’m getting an error with “missing parameter code” when trying to install SiteKit. Does anyone know whats up?

    Hi @atmaarten,

Does the same occur if you use a Chrome browser incognito window by any chance? I ask as we’ve had reports of this occurring when using browser features or extensions that redirect AMP URLs. With AMP used as part of Site Kit set up in such scenarios using Chrome via an incognito session can be used as a workaround.

Let me know anyway, whether the same occurs when performing this check.

    Hi @jamesosborne!

Good to know you are still here, you helped us a while back when Site Kit was just released. ??

We’ve tried doing it in an incognito window, and we got further into the set up of Site Kit, but it still gave the same error message at the last part. ??

What can we do to give you the right info to check this out further?

And good to hear from you also! I recognized the username immiediately!

Sorry to hear that didn’t allow you to proceed. We’ve had other users report this also. In our case we’ve been unable to recreate the same issue when switching off AMP redirection, using a browser where this is common and using a Chrome extension.

What can we do to give you the right info to check this out further?

So I can gather more insights and add this to the related GitHub issue would it be possible for you to share the following:

    1. Any browser console errors on the same screen where this error appears from a Chrome browser
    2. Your Site Health information. This was I can check for any possible plugin related blocks for AMP URLs.

If you’re comfortable checking any network requests using Chrome developer tools, as per this comment, it might be useful to check for any Site Kit related non 200 responses. I’m happy to provide insights into how to do this if you wish.

    Hi @jamesosborne ,

I took a look at the GitHub page and it seems like our Brave browser was the issue. Oopsie.

Thanks for the quick response! Have a great week you deserve it ??
