• After backing up and upgrading my site, I posted new articles, only to discover that on all the linked pages only the About page went to archive.
And only one post appears in Recent Post link.

Your site seems to be fine, were you able to resolve the issue?

I also removed your link to the site, as some of the ads there had adult content.

No, the site is not fine! What I am saying is that my October post in Archives has only the About page and not the rest. Is this how WordPress works or am I missing something?

So, the monthly archive for October only displays the About page? Did you publish any posts in October? Do the other monthly archives work as expected?

Yes, I did. In all the… (I don’t know what they are called: Feature Article, Health Quotes, Health Tips etc.). Its the only month I had posted before.

Or, perhaps it’s because I didn’t save before publishing. What do you think?

Do you see those posts in the Posts section of your blog’s Dashboard, or are they in the Pages section?

I checked and only the said About page is there.

If the missing pages are not in either the Posts or Pages section of your blog’s Dashboard, double-check the Trash sub-section of each.

If they aren’t there either, then I’m afraid they’re gone for good.

I guess they are gone then. But since I had everything backed up before posting new articles, can I somehow get them in my October Archive or can they show up only as new post. How did I get posting wrong in the first place to avoid future occurrence?

It’s hard to say how it went wrong, since it was so long ago.

If you restore a database backup, you’ll lose everything done since the backup, so it’s best to probably re-write those, or open the database backup in a plain text editor and copy/paste the post content of the missing posts.
