Missing Readability and Keyword Analysis Despite Settings

    Recently I encountered a problem that I am not sure of how to fix.

    Running newest WP 4.6.1 since it was released, so not quite sure if this is a WP or just an WP-SEO issue.

    The Readability and Keyword Analysis functions that are within the post were working fine the other day, now they are missing. I can edit the snippet, but can no longer see the focus keyword option, or the analysis options. Which effectively means I can no longer use the plugin.

    I have tried the following in order to fix this:

    • disabling Yoast Seo
    • disabling the newest plugins I installed
    • disabling ALL plugins
    • deleting and reinstalling version 3.4.2 which definitely worked prior to today

    I know there is a setting for enabling and disabling these features. However, these no longer function as one would expect. IE: don’t work at all.

    As I do edits everyday I was surprised to see this functionality missing. It was working I believe under 4.6.1, with version 3.4.2 but deleting and reinstalling older version did not work.

    Topic Solved.

    After backtracking several dozen updates I switched to a user account to see if it was the same there. It was not, so upon double checking user settings I found this option checked:

    Disable SEO analysis
    Removes the keyword tab from the metabox and disables all SEO-related suggestions.

    Glad I found it. Don’t remember checking that option. Guess the late night editing has to stop.
