When I enable Google Richsnippet function, I have encountered 2 problem.

    1. As you can see at screenshot below, some required “Article” schema markups missing.

    2. The plugin creates extension after url as “/post-ratings-x” as you see at screenshot. This marking creates additional link as duplicate content for Google crawler.

I really loved this plug-in as it is flexible and offers many functionality like listing top or worst rated content in custom prior of time. I tried everything to solve this, please help. I really want to use this plugin and richsnippet functionality.

Edit: If I disable Article meta completely by using codes from another topic, Article meta error disappears and duplicate content problem solves itself. But this time aggregate-rating gives error as it isn’t related to any content type.

    1. Can be fixed, https://github.com/lesterchan/wp-postratings/issues/43. I will fix it when I am free.
    2. I don’t get what you mean.

Thank you, I’ll look forward for it.

For 2nd problem: I mean the plugin adds a suffix to page url after a “/” (for example: “www.domain.com/page-url/post-ratings-404”).

Problem is, google bot assumes it’s an another page, because it’s appears in “article url” in schema markup (can be seen on screenshot I’ve provided previous post).

Your screenshot is so small, I can’t see anything.

I still don’t get what you mean. What suffix? The plugin doesn’t add anything to your page URL.

BTW: I fixed the article schema markup on my dev site https://lesterchan.net/wordpress_dev/2015/04/24/test-emoji/ and it works now.

Fixed that already? You are amazing.

Screenshot looks fine for me with proper size, but I have marked the problem on it and re-uploaded on another service.

    Check it out: screenshot

Meanwhile I checked the page url you have sent above with Structured Data Testing Tool. But it doesn’t seems like richsnippet function activated. There is no schema markup appears on result, only hatom tags listed and it doesn’t have richsnippet markups… This is screenshot of that results.

BTW: Can I update my .php from github and try the fix now?

Nevermind I’ll try it now :).

Ok, I have tested it by updating file from github and it worked flawless. Forget all about my previous post, here is the new structured data result.

The thing about URL on Article meta still appears, but since there is URL meta too, might be better to “wait and see” if it creates 404 errors for Google bot again.

For example this is original link
And this is appeared-in-meta link when richsnippet function turned on.

Since Google’s bot 404 errors won’t show up quickly I’ll wait to see.
