    Hi all,

We’ve got a pesky little issue. I setup a staging version of a live site this morning and Jetpack decided that it would, in fact, count the staging site as the live site and put the live site in safe mode. Now that I’ve told staging that it’s staging ( define( ‘JETPACK_STAGING_MODE’, true ); ) and reconnected our live site – we don’t have any historical stats! Is there any way to look for that data and connect it back? Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You’re correct; the issue was the old URL. I have fixed the issue, and you should be able to get your Stats and Subscribers back by going to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and disconnecting / reconnecting to WordPress.com.

Let us know if you need more help!

    Hi @supernovia,

Thanks so much for following up on this. I went in and disconnected but when I try to connect I see an error message that says “Error Details: Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.” so I’m unable to reconnect. Could you advise about the best solution? Thanks!

@sashaendoh on our end we see the site url and home url are set to a staging site. Can you complete each of these steps?

    – Verify that the siteurl and home url are correct under Settings > General in wp-admin

    – If they are correct, go to Plugins and, from that menu, deactivate and uninstall Jetpack. That will remove its local settings completely. Then you can reinstall and reconnect; hopefully the conflicting setting will be gone. If not, please update us here.
