• Hello,

Background: I am not a developer and I am having issues launching the new site I had a developer make for me to switch out with the current theme. Per my developer’s instructions I uploaded the files and folders exactly as they were into a folder in the theme directory which I named “new site”. I also followed the instructions in this post:https://studioraygun.co.uk/blog/web-development/angularjs-front-end-wordpress-back-end/ that my developer told me to follow as well (a quarter of the way down, the section titled “file structure”) and added a wordpress folder in the “new site” folder.

The issue: When I try to load the theme through appearance>themes the wp front-end tells me the “new site” theme is missing stylesheets and does not let me load it. How do I fix this to be able to launch the new site? Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

Also: The pages are html which I guess is normal for angularjs? I guess I just need step by step instructions on how to get these files read correctly on the frontend side.

    Thank you

The theme needs a style.css file. I’d recommend asking the person you paid for this why the theme isn’t working, or why he sent you one without a style.css file.
