    Hello,
I have two websites (one is sub-domain) and I use Advanced Ads in both. I input the right text code into my main domain (https://yaaritrabel.com/) and on my sub-domain (https://lifestyle.yaaritrabel.com/).
it was OK but suddenly, before few days that message: “One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID in the ads.txt file” appear at my sub-domain web.
I try to input the code from the beginning but it didn’t help.
could you please let me know what to do to fix it?

    best
    Yaarit

    Hi Yaarit,

    thanks for reaching out.

According to the official ads.txt documentation, the ads.txt file should only be added to the main domain, not on subdomains. Advanced Ads does just load the errors from your AdSense account without being able to verify if it is related to your domain because it is technically not possible. So this might be a false positive.

Could I ask you to visit your AdSense account, open the “Sites” menu and let me know which URLs are mentioned under the “Create an ads.txt file for x site” warning?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hello,
    thanks for your response.
so should I delete the ads.txt from the sub-web?

the URL mentioned at the AdSense account is yaaritrabel.com
this is the main domain, but the warning appears only at my sub-domain.

    hope you can help me
    thanks
    Yaarit

    Hi Yaarit,

you can just close the warning about the ads.txt file which you see on your subdomain. There should be a “dismiss” link.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

Hi @renatao, thanks for asking. Unfortunately, I cannot help with policy questions since I have no further insights into AdSense accounts.

If you have a question related to my Advanced Ads plugin then please don’t hesitate to create a new thread here in the forum.

    Good luck!

    Thomas
