Bernd, I read through the documents best I could see via Google translate and from what I can make out you need to pop into the German slack for translators https://de.www.ads-software.com/slack/ to ask for approval.

Once an approver has completed and when over 90% translated approved, if all is well the translation file will update from WP.org

@fierevere: I don’t have a Slack account and it seems like the registration form won’t send me an invitation either. Isn’t there any other way to notify the German translation team? Email maybe?

I want to contribute to WordPress, but for me this is a one time thing. I don’t need a Slack account in the long run and find this very inconvenient.

What if I update a translation string in all languages? Will I have to ping 8-10 different teams then, so they can check their locales individually?

Unfortunately due to the tidy up of : in 4.7.6 will probably need to get re reviewed, buat as of 4.7.5 the WP translations were being picked up for DE
