    Hello Wooommerce,

Somehow, I seem to have deleted/removed the Description and Add To Cart widget from my WordPress website. I cannot explain it any other way then that. Is there a way to restore or upload widgets that may have been deleted?

    Thanks,

    Eric

    Hello Eric

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I checked your website and can see the Add to cart and Description elements on your product page.

Could please share more details like where are you seeing this issue?
A screenshot from your end will be helpful.

I look forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Zubair,

I am using a 3rd party plugin in order to get the “Product Description” widget to display. If I deactivate the plugin then the “Product Description” widget is no longer available. I may have been incorrect about the “Add To Cart” default WooCommerce widget being missing.

Hey, @brutesuits! Thanks for the screenshots.

From what I can see all the screenshots you shared are from Elementor’s interface, correct?

If you disable Elementor, do you still get the same issue?

If you do, please let us know so we can assist you further.

If the issue is specific to Elementor, please reach out to their support so they can assist you further with this. You can contact them here.

    Have a wonderful day!

The screen shots above are Elementor. That is the page builder I am familiar with. I have deactivated it and tried creating a new product page with WP Bakery. I do not see the “Product Description” available.

    Hi @brutesuits,

Since this is a third-party plugin which we don’t provide support for (please see our Support Policy), it would be best to reach out to the plugin’s developers for further assistance.

I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

    Thanks!

The reason I am using a 3rd party plugin is because the widget that is provided from Woocommerce is gone.

How do I reinstall the “Product Description” Woocommerce widget?

Once I have this uploaded to my website I can uninstall the 3rd Party plugin I am using. The only reason I am using it is because the one that comes with Woocommerce is gone.

If you look at the pictures above when I answered the questions from the 1st reply, you can see that the widget is not available with Elementor or WP Bakery when the 3rd Party plugin has been deactivated

    Hello Eric Eberhart

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you please explain which “Production Description” Woocommerce widget you are referring to? It would be helpful if you shared a screenshot or find any reference to it on the internet.

Please note that WooCommerce does not provide a feature to create Page Templates like Elementor or WP Bakery. This is something that is handled by the Themes (using PHP code) or as in your case by Page Builder plugins.

This is why we previously recommended to reach out to your page builder’s support team for questions regarding widgets.

Let me know if you can find any reference to the “Production Description” Woocommerce widget. I will be happy to assist you further. ??

    Best regards.

    Hello,

It’s not “Production Description” it’s “Product Description”

Please tell me what you would like the screenshots to show? I have uploaded several times.

I the widget is gone. I have uploaded screenshots to show what it looks like when I have diasbled the 3rd party plugin and also with Elementor disabled.

I do not want to have to completely deactivate and uninstall Woocommerce and upload a fresh copy. I think this will remove all my products, sotre, and payment settings.

I am going to mark this as resolved. I logged into another website and that is also no longer displaying the widget.

    Hi @brutesuits,

WooCommerce hasn’t removed its Product description (Products > Add New). Also, it doesn’t offer a widget for product descriptions by default that you can use with any page builder. The screenshots you shared suggest you’re using a third-party page builder.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
