Hey Ben, I am trying to create a child site for my website.

When I go to wp-content/themes, only the default twenty ninteen, twenty eighteen themes are their, I don’t even think they’re installed on my wordpress anymore.

How can I get mission news in the themes file so I can create a child theme?

    Thanks

Ben can I not create a child theme with mission news pro as the theme parent?

If your site is running Mission News right now then you should see its folder here:

    wordpress/wp-content/themes/mission-news

You can name your child theme’s folder “mission-news-child” and upload it via FTP to the themes folder, or you can turn it into a zip file and upload through the Appearance menu in your WP admin.

Mission News Pro is packaged as a plugin, so it won’t show up in the themes folder. One benefit is that you don’t need to edit your Mission News child themes in any way to make it work with Mission News Pro.
