Mixed Content Error – Problem with Theme File
-
First time poster here,
After a week of full on troubleshooting to try and resolve a problem on a clients wordpress site (recently migrated the site over to SSL, and am trying to get 100% approval so that the green padlock appears next to the url in the address bar).
Even after installing and running various plugins (Really Simple SSL, SSL insecure content fixer, Velvet Blue) to convert all links, images and resources over to https, there is one theme file left over that will not convert over and is thus hurting the SSL appearance for users on the front end.
After this week, I made the decision to use the support of the clients hosting company, Godaddy to see if they could resolve the problem – and even with their experienced wordpress dev team, no one was able to resolve the problem.
Here is the error message I am getting via console, after inspecting the site:
modernizr.js?ver=3.1.0:4 Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.registrationsareus.com/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘https://www.registrationsareus.com/wp-content/themes/dt-the7/inc/presets/images/full/skin2.general-boxed-bg-image.jpg’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
I am dumbfounded as to how to fix this issue, and would love to hear your ideas/thoughts on this one.
Thanks,
Tony
