• Hi everybody.
I have just added a youtube video created by my client from his youtube channel he just set up (there is only one video)
Before that the website was fully secure but since I added the video there is a mixed content warning in all browsers.
There are only 3 pages on the site and the video is on all pages.
When I inspect the page the page I get this warning

Loading mixed (insecure) display content “https://www.gstatic.com/youtube/img/email/avatar_720.png” on a secure page
I know this link is http and not https?
When I click on this link it goes to the avatar used on the youtube video and page.
Has anyone here had this problem and found a solution??
    the site is a2zturbochargers.com
and the link to the video is
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfoNdDzDydQ&t=19s
I am hoping someone here has had the same problem and found a solution.
Thanks for your advice in advance
    Victor

How did you add the video to the pages?

I added the video using a direct link and using the video widget in Elementor which I use to build my sites.
The link from the video itself is https but it seems that the youtube avatar is http.
I am not very tech savvy so I don’t know how to solve this?
Any ideas and thanks for your speedy reply

If you test with the regular embedder (just paste in the link on a line by itself or use a video block) does it work? If not, then it’s a youtube thing. If it does, then it’s an elementor thing.

I have used the same elementor video widget with another different youtube video on another site without any problem with mixed content, did you inspect the page to see where the problem was coming from?
I will try a different format to embed the video but I don’t see how the elementor widget would work on one site and not another I will have to do it later as I have to go to work but thanks for your help so far.
If it is youtube do you have any idea how I could resolve that?
    Thanks again Victor

    Hi Victor,

Did you find solution for it , I have the same problem .

    Thanks ,

Just as a an update and for Bashir
The problem was the video from Youtube.
My client had a guy set up the youtube channel for the video and they were messing about trying to get the logo to appear on the subsrciber logo on the top left of the video.
Before they put subscriber logo it was just an avatar from youtube.
Somewhere along the line they messed up and created a http non secure link with the avatar.
I told them to undo whatever they had done and now the logo is now correct in the subscriber area and the site is secure again.
    a2zturbochargers.com
So to recap for anyone else who has this problem it is more likely not to be your theme or elementor but a link to a video or photo etc that has a http link and not https link which causes the mixed content warning causing your site to be not secure.
To check this right click on the page to inspect the page and go to console and check for anything that has http instead of https and more likely that link is causing the mixed content.
If ant of the other guys on here have anything to add to help people with this problem please post as a lot of people including me have had problems with this.
    Cheers Victor
