    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m afraid Windows Phones don’t support custom tiles yet. They will only grab a screenshot of your site, even if you’ve defined a tile tag thanks to the Site Icon module in Jetpack.

Windows 8 (for desktop computers), on the other hand, does support custom tiles. If you’ve uploaded a Site Icon on your site, Windows users will see that site icon when creating a tile of your site on their computer.

You can read more about this here:
    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13943931/site-icon-on-wp8-homescreen

    I hope this helps.

Perhaps but there are IE sites that can have a site icon.

Neowin in just an html address with various things on the page.

In the screenshot, Neowin on the lower left was created by saving to the start screen.

Thanks for the extra details. Neowin includes additional elements that Jetpack doesn’t. We’ll run some tests and try to find some additional documentation from Microsoft to get this to work.

You can follow our progress here:

    Thanks again for the report.
