• Hi everyone, I recently updated theme on my site and decided to put main navigation on the bottom of the page on mobile device. I would love to see what you guys think of it compare to Top Navigation or others.

I had a problem with CSS fixed positioning and mobile zooming that below link talks about.

So for now I had to lock mobile zooming to avoid that issue. However, I really don’t think using this “maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no” it not the right way to increase user experience.

Anyways, let me know what u think of it.

    thank you!

Shouldn’t your nav come after the link that triggers it? At the moment with a keyboard you can access the nav menu items before you get to the trigger, then once triggered you have to go backwards to access the menu items.

@andrew thank you for the comment. Sorry, I am not really understanding what u talking about the navigation. The bottom bar which contains Menu text on the left and hamburger icon on the right will trigger the Main Nav. Is this what u asking??

Maybe moving the navigation at the bottom just on mobile will be an issue for people who are using your site on both mobile & larger devices. It’s something extra to learn because it’s not “normal”. People with learning difficulties (this can be people with the flu too) may struggle to remember where your navigation has gone when they visit your site on mobile.

What about putting some sort of hint in the top bar (next to the logo?) to look at the bottom of the screen for the navigation when on mobile?
