    Hello there,

Even with the 3.6.0 update, the mobile page speed report is CLS 0.700 and above even on blank pages. It takes the whole page as a cumulative layout.

I would appreciate it if you could test or experiment with it. Scan Pagespeed 2-3 times, there is no problem at first scanning. After scanning a second time, the problem appears.

  • Hi @myblogtr,

I did a test on my dev site and the CLS score was 0 (zero) for both desktop and mobile.

Would you mind share with us your site URL?

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hello,

    https://prnt.sc/167x6ws

Giving the site address won’t change anything. There is only lorem ipsum text in the text. There isn’t even a plugin.

    Hi @myblogtr,

I try to replicate this on my end and the CLS score is zero. Check out this screenshot, please.

I also have no plugin installed on my site. Not sure why you got a poor CLS score while I got a perfect one.

If you can share your site URL, we can also do a test from our end. If for some reason you don’t want to share your site URL on public, you can always submit a ticket thru our Support Portal. As I checked your site URL, your site is in Maintenance mode.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hi @bsfherman,

The problem is caused by caching plugins. I tried WP Super Cache, Litespeed, WP Fastest Cache and more plugins but the result is always the same. The problem goes away when I remove the cache plugins.

What do we need to do?

    Hi @myblogtr,

If you can spot the section of your site that causes CLS issues when you have the cache plugin active, if the plugin has a feature to exclude ID or Class, you might want to try to exclude that section from being optimized on the cache plugin.

    I hope it will help.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
