I have been having some issues/problems with my website lately. As of today I can’t get my amp to look normal on mobile devices… It’s plain horrible!

I am aware that my theme is not compatible, but that was the case before today as well. Same for the non-compatible plugins. Never a real issue before.

    Hello @vesco27

Thank you for contacting us, Your theme SKT Girlie is not AMP compatible, but if you have recently updated your theme (parent theme) it may result in various issues.

You are currently using the AMP plugin in transitional mode, We will recommend trying using the AMP plugin in Reader Mode with another Reader Mode theme such as Astra or Neve, they will sever only AMP pages, You can learn more about Reader Mode using our plugin documentation or check the video below

    We hope this helps!

I tried every setting to get an acceptable outcome, but to no avail… Never had issues before! At the moment I even disabled the plugin. It was just too messy/ugly on a mobile device… Whichever mode I choose.

I have no idea what changed and caused the issues in the first place.

    Hello @vesco27

We tried to replicate your site setup at our end by using the site data you submitted but we are unable to find any issue.

As you mentioned you are no longer using AMP plugin but instead using AMP for WP plugin so we can’t check that on your site either

Sorry, we can’t be more of assistance on this one!

I will mark this topic as resolved, let us know if you switched back to AMP plugin and need assistance.

I just switched back to your plugin, so you can have a look. This happens with the settings I always had…. I really don’t like how the reader mode looks, so that’s not an option for me.

    Hello @vesco27

Thank you for switching back to the AMP plugin, This looks more like a CSS issue that is related to your theme and not the AMP plugin, When you switched to transitional mode your primary theme will be served for both non-AMP as well AMP pages. but in case your theme is not AMP compatible it will look messy. which is why we recommend using Reader Mode where you can try different themes for your AMP pages.

As I checked you have switched to Reader Mode with the legacy theme

As I mentioned before you can change the look of AMP pages to something more appealing by choosing Reader Mode themes

Here are the steps to use them.

    1. Install any one theme, Astra or Neve Do not Activate newly installed theme.

    2. Goto AMP settings make sure you have activated Reader Mode

    3. You will find the Reader Theme section under Reader Mode settings expand it

    4. Scroll through the section and choose Astra or Neve theme which you have just installed.(screenshot)

    5. Now click Save.

    6. Goto Dashboard->Appearance->AMP to customize Reader Theme, Add logo menu other details

    7. Visit your AMP page by visiting the page URL with ?amp=1 example and make sure it looks perfectly fine the way you wanted.
