Mobile Landing Page, then back to Theme
-
Hi,
I have created a wordpress website that is private. Love the power of wordpress. ??
I have also created a ‘landing login page for mobile devices’ (https://www.abc.com/mobile/index.php). Have tested the form and works great.
I have tried using ‘WPTap’, a functions command and ‘WordPress mobile detector’ to direct mobile users visiting https://www.abc.com to the landing login page (https://www.abc.com/mobile/). All 3 accomplish the task of redirecting mobile devices to https://www.abc.com/mobile/.
Problem:
User gets redirected to https://www.abc.com/mobile/ with no problem. But when the mobile user logs in from the mobile device, he/she get’s redirected back to https://www.abc.com/mobile/ instead of going to the logged in home page https://www.abc.com. I’ve even tried setting the form to send the user to https://www.abc.com/travel/ but it too keeps redirecting the mobile user back to https://www.abc.com/mobile/Does anyone have a solution for this? I don’t have time to create a mobile theme at the moment and the theme I have built looks great on mobile devices except for the landing login page. I just need this one page for mobile devices and then redirect them back to the non-mobile theme.
Here’s the redirect code I’ve been using. I think what’s happening is the redirect keeps activating when I send the user to the home page.. The redirect function is seeing the URL string https://www.abc.com, even if it’s https://www.abc.com/travel/hotels/thenicehotel, and is redirecting the mobile user back to https://www.abc.com/mobile/
Please help. Going crazy with this. ??
Thank you.
G.
