The mobile (hamburger) menu isn’t working suddenly. I’ve tested it on my mobile, Android(v10) with Chrome mobile app and Firebox mobile app. Went through Facebook mobile app and tried through app’s browser too. On PC through WP admin, when viewing in customizer in mobile view it also doesn’t work. Tried it on Chrome browser as well as Firebox browser on Windows 10 PC. Upon clicking in every scenario it either disappears or simply does nothing.

Please fix asap! I’ve tried to be as descriptive as possible and hoping that helps. I really haven’t touched my site all week because I’ve had finals so it shouldn’t be from user error.

  • Hey foxmeadows,

    Do you have a link?

    Hey @foxmeadows

Yep, we need the website’s URL so we can take a proper look at your setup ?? Would you be able to provide that?

    Thanks

Thank you for your responses. After I had time to investigate I was able to locate the problem causing the issue. It would appear to be coming from my cdn of all things. Disabling the CDN plugin for Bunny solved the problem. I also had to remove BunnyCDN’s connection in WPFastest Cache because it was replicating the error. I have no clue how or why this would be affecting such an obscure function but I suppose I will reach out to them for help.

In the meantime, I’ve got my site in maintenance mode because it’s an ecom store. However, you’re welcome to take a look on the staging site I used for diagnosing at: 2.foxmeadows.shop/child

I’m going to leave it with cdn enabled for time being so the problem is visible. If you go to the url on mobile, you’ll see pretty easily the issue in menu. For desktop context, I took these screenshots to help illustrate the difference I can at least see from there. The menu still works on pc but it doesn’t look quite right.

    With CDN:

    W/O CDN:

If you have any advice on what/how to describe the error to BunnyCdn or why this problem is occurring in general, I would greatly appreciate the insight.

    Hello @foxmeadows

A little reminder about this. We are still waiting on a reply from you ??

    Hey @foxmeadows

Ah, the reply popped up just now. Probably caught in the spam filter.

Yes, a CDN can be great and bad at the same time. Due to the nature of how it works, it might take quite a bit of time for all the changes to propagate throughout the CDN network.

Have you tried contacting the CDN provider to see if they have a “clear all” functionality? Clearing out the CDN and repopulating it with the latest changes should definitely solve your issues — though, I wouldn’t recommend using a CDN on a highly dynamic website.

    Thanks

@cteduard Wow thanks so much! How did you know that would fix it? Haha, that was so simply of a fix, was not expecting that. Thanks for your help and getting back so quickly! ??
