Mobile menu click function only works on category pages

The mobile menu hover (click) function is following the link (going directly to the category page) instead of opening the drop down menu. Once on the category page, however, the hover (click) function works correctly.

As far as I am concerned, all settings are correct (side note: this works correctly in Chrome developer mode, albeit not in Firefox). I’ve played around with the settings, but nothing seems to solve the issue. I thought it might be the theme, but when inspecting the code, it looks like the event trigger might not be set properly.

I did not notice this problem prior to the most recent update, but I do not believe it was occurring.

I’ve been stuck for a few days now, so any help is most appreciated!
