I am working on a website that is based on anchor links, all on the same page. The hamburger menu does not close after clicking an anchor link that points to the same page, nor takes you at said anchor point after manually closing it. How can I fix this? Is there some javascript that I could add to the site? Sorry I cannot provide a demo of this, I am currently working on it on a local server.

    Hi @alexstehl,

I’ve updated the mobile menu so it works as expected when it includes an anchor link pointing to an element on the current page. Give version 2.2 a try and let me know if it does the trick.

Anders, you are the best! Thank you so much for your time and effort!

I can confirm that the menu anchor links targeting a part of the same page are working fine! The url does not change on the browser, but did not need that anyway.

Unfortunately I encountered another issue, that I do not know if it’s related to this one or the post grid. When the page is loaded for the first time, by a direct link with an anchor pointer (such as a menu link from ANOTHER page), it does not point to said anchor point correctly. It stops to the correct point for a split second, then proceeds to scroll quite a bit further to the bottom. I noticed that for anchor points found below the post grid. Tried a pre-loader plugin (WP Smart Preloader) to see if it solves the issue, to no avail (loads indefinitely).

I have uploaded the unfinished website online, but is hidden behind a coming soon page. I could send you a subscriber password for you to see it if you want. Not sure if I should mark this topic as resolved and open a new one, could be a grid problem…

    Thank you again!

Tested the above problem and it has nothing to do with the menu. The grid is what is causing it, and has nothing to do with this topic. I can confirm again that your menu fix works perfectly.

Thank you a thousand times for your speedy fix and theme update, you saved me a bunch of work and trouble!
