• I’m running Max Mega Menu on a few sites. An issue has come to my attention but is only impacting about half of them. When the mobile menu becomes active, top-level menu items with children become unclickable. This was certainly not an issue when any of these sites launched.

I’ve created dev environments and deactivated all other plugins, and used a default 2023 theme, but the problem will persist. I even exported one of the themes from a problem site and imported it to an empty sandbox and the mobile menu worked as expected (one click expands the sub-menu, two clicks activates the link). I’ve compared plugin settings, ensured the hyperlink behavior isn’t deactivated, and tried numerous other forms of troubleshooting but I still can’t figure out why it would work fine on one site but not on another with absolutely no other plugins or customized themes activated, nixing the possibility of a theme/plugin conflict. There are no console errors related to this issue.

I’m at a loss. What could I be overlooking?

    Hi,

Please post a link to your site so I can take a look.

Problem Site #1: This is an active development site.

This is also one of the sites I tested by disabling all other plugins and switching it to the 2023 theme. The mega menu remained broken on mobile.

Thanks. Under Mega Menu > Menu Locations, you need to set the “Second click behaviour” option to “First click opens sub menu, second click follows link”.

    Regards,
    Tom
