Mobile Menu Not Working After 3.3.8 Update

    Mobile device in use: Sony Xperia M2 Dual

    Problem:

    When I use Top Bar for main menu:

    1. Hamburger Icon for menu shoots off screen to the right and cannot be seen at all on the HOMEPAGE. A horizontal scroll is created by itself and the icon can be seen only when I horizontally scroll.

    2. Even when I horizontally scroll to right and access the hamburger menu, the icon simply refuses to work! It sits dead and doesn’t work at all.

    When I use Header menu, hamburger menu icon works just fine BUT:

    1. Hamburger Icon for menu shoots off screen to the right and cannot be seen at all on the HOMEPAGE. A horizontal scroll is created by itself and the icon can be seen only when I horizontally scroll.

    2. When I go ahead and select a category from the open menu the category page opens and the menu icon sits within the screen real estate. I mean, the icon is visible and perfectly working.

    IF I TRY TO USE TOPBAR WITH BOXED LAYOUT:

    The topbar shoots out of the box from the right.

    SIDEBAR SCROLL:

    The sidebars are scrolling at different pace. The primary sidebar scrolls up first and then the secondary sidebar starts scrolling.

    Sidebars are still ok but the mobile menu thing is really really terrifying. A horizontal scroll on homepage to find the menu icon is something Google will penalize pretty badly.

    Save and Exit option in Customizer is not working!!

    The problem still persists.

    The demo site works perfectly on my mobile device. There is no horizontal scroll either on the demo site.

    OK thanks for this information. I will try to help.
    The source of your issue can be either :
    – the custom css you have added to your child theme or the custom css in the customizer if any. Try to disable any custom style, or to run the parent theme for a moment to see if it helps.
    – a plugin in conflict with the theme : try to deactivate all your plugins adn reactivate them one by one
    – a cache plugin : you need to refresh your cache plugin.

    I hope this will help, and let me know what you find in any case, this will probably help other people getting the same kind of issue.

    Thanks for your assistance.

    I disabled all plugins and then activated them one at a time. It turned out that WP Page Navi was causing the problem.

    But,

    WP PageNavi is an important plugin that allows pagination. What do I do?

    Ah OK but it’s weird then because the Hueman theme demo actually uses WP Page Navi and there’s no particular problem with it.
    Are you using the latest version of the plugin ? (2.91 )

    ok and you confirm that the demo is working fine on your mobile ? is that right ?

    Yes. I confirm that. Demo is working perfectly fine.

    On my website however, whenever I activate PageNavi, the menu creates problem on mobile device. The moment I deactivate PageNavi, the menu works perfectly fine.

    And does it occur if you enable only the Hueman theme and Page Navi ?

    Yes! The problem continues to occurs when I:

    “Disable all plugins and keep only and only PageNavi activated along with Hueman theme”.

    OK. That’s really weird.
    On my ios mobile, your website looks perfect.
    the only thing I can think of would be a custom css code that you are using that could be in conflict with page navi. Or a browser cache issue ?

    Looks like the problem is with chrome browser only. I tried several other browsers on my phone include firefox, UC browser etc. They are all displaying the website properly.

    Can you suggest something Nicolas?

    Can you clean your browser cache in your mobile and see if it helps ?

    Already did that multiple times. It is not helping at all.
