I am having problems with the mobile header menu (the primary menu not the menu at the very top). I have read through the forum, read the documentation and FAQ and tried everything I’ve read (as much as my limited script knowledge allows). I have found no problems in the script, adding a responsive menu plug-in to take over doesn’t help and neither does hiding your mobile menu.

I have disabled your menu and the themes menu does work without that, but I don’t want to lose the custom menu I’m creating with your plug-in. It seems that the themes (phlox theme) mobile menu is overriding your menu, at that point and it’s breaking the menu overall. I’ve looked in their support forum and found nothing on the topic.

If you have any ideas I can try or a fix for the issue, please let me know. I love what your plug-in was able to do on desktop, but need the mobile menu to work, mobile website problems are half the reason I’m making our site wordpress.

    Hi jestewart,

    Thanks for posting a link.

I have taken a look at how the theme is coded and I’m afraid MMM will not be compatible with it for the mobile menu. The theme is not ‘conventionally’ coded and moves elements about using JavaScript depending on the screen size, and it has been coded so that this would only work when the default theme menu is being used.

This is not a common issue, so unless you are set on using this theme, you could try another one. Alternatively you could try using a dedicated mobile menu plugin for your mobile menu (e.g. ShiftNav or Responsive Menu – both are free and good).

    Regards,
    Tom

I had tried using Responsive Menu with the same results previously, but I think I found a menu and have gotten it to work with your plug-in. Thank you for your help.
