    On mobile navigation the nav icon is “in” the linkedin icon how can I change this to show the bars “hamburger” mobile navigational icon?

    Check this Theme options setting
    Theme options -> Header -> Menu -> Responsive Menu Layout

    I see that option is only available with the purchase version.
    Is there anything that can be done with the free version?

    Please share your screenshot so provide you solution for this.
    Theme options -> Header -> Menu -> Responsive Menu Layout
    is available in evolve free theme also. If your theme is not updated, take update.
