Mobile number not appearing

When I get an order and click the order to go to the Edit Order screen, I see the mobile number of the customer appears only under ‘General’ but DOES NOT appear under ‘Billing’ and ‘Shipping’ (address is okay in both these places). Has it anything to do with the checkout form/checkout fields? If so, is there I can make the customer enter their mobile number only once and it appears by default in billing and shipping (of course with the option to edit it).
Can anyone let me know how to fix this?
