Mobile Site – How to start? With a custom template

  • Hi,
    So I have my website up and running but what I’m wanting to do is create a mobile site with a new theme. I’ve been doing a bit of research and most are suggesting plugins but they all seem to have their own themes.

    Can someone please point me in the right direction of where to start? I have no idea what I need to do to create a custom theme for a mobile site or how to make it work.

    I appreciate any help!

    This is why there are the plugins, I suggest WPtouch…yes it has it’s own theme but it is very easy to setup and requires no knowledge of coding and if you desire you can grab the Pro Version and even work with the author to create a mobile version of your site to your liking…

    Or you could hire someone to perform this rather involved task (creating a mobile theme).
