Mobile Theme navigation issues

Having some issues using tap-to-open on the mobile navigation menu, more often in portrait mode. Switching to landscape sometimes allows the menu to be opened.
We could reproduce this on both IOS and Android phone browsers on the WordCamp Phoenix site: https://2013.phoenix.wordcamp.org
