I have a theme that supports a top and main menu, pretty common.

I activate Jetpack’s mobile support, since the theme is not responsive. It shows the Top menu, not the main menu.

How do I have it display the main menu??

I also see mobile theme options, that can be activated, Base, and Blue, Red, etc. How are those to be used? Activate one and remove your main (desktop) theme??

The Mobile Theme searches through the custom menu locations for your current desktop theme and displays the menu assigned to the primary position. If you have no custom menus assigned, it will default to the standard page menu.

The Jetpack Mobile Theme doesn’t include any color options, so these options might be added by another plugin. Could you try deactivating all other Mobile Theme plugins on your site?

I appreciate the reply. I edited the theme’s functions.php file and simply reversed the registration of the two menus so that the main menu registers first, and the top menu registers second, and it now uses the main menu as desired.

I think it’d be great if in the Jetpack mobile theme configuration you could instead select which menu to display, if there are more than one to choose from, so that hard-coding theme customizations are not necessary for others in the future.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Thanks for the feedback!

We keep working on improving Jetpack Mobile, and we plan on releasing a Jetpack update including lots of design changes for the Mobile Theme very soon. We’ll consider changing the way menus are handled in a future Jetpack update!

A way of choosing which menu to use will be a fantastic feature.
Thank you for a great plugin!

I need only one favour with this PLUGIN….. can the developer make it support custom menu and also the search functionality to be manually trigger {input, enter and search doesnt work in browsers like opera, ucweb} also, option to remove header.

    Thanks

can the developer make it support custom menu

The Mobile theme already supports custom menus. It searches through the custom menu locations for your current desktop theme and displays the menu assigned to the primary position. If you have no custom menus assigned, it will default to the standard page menu.

    the search functionality to be manually trigger {input, enter and search doesnt work in browsers like opera, ucweb}

Could you give me more details about this bug, so I can investigate further?

    option to remove header.

You can follow the instructions here to learn how to customize the Mobile Theme, and remove elements:

    I hope this helps.
