Mobile version missing key elements

My site, talkpatio.com, is a buddypress social network with WPML so users have the ability to switch between English and Spanish. The Moesia theme works great on my computer and iPad as long as the iPad is in landscape orientation. However, when on a mobile device there are many key elements that are not even visible. For instance, in the header there is no link to log in or register, there is a descriptive paragraph missing that is supposed to be over the background image, and when the main menu expands so do all the list items of the sub menus.

I have read on the forum that a common fix would be to deactivate any unnecessary plugins. I deactivated all plugins except for the buddypress and the WPML ones but this did not help.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because having a functional mobile layout is key to the websites success.
