• First off, I am not a coder in any way- so I acknowledge I’m in over my head, but I don’t have much of a choice. Your help is much appreciated.

I have been designing a site using Elementor, and that is working fine. But there’s an extra kink in the process: my site is hosted on one domain, but the URL people use is another, which then redirects to the real site using domain masking. This seems to be the issue.

Site people type into browser: memosalazar.com
Actual site they’re redirected to: memo.foolfactory.com

On a desktop, all works well. On a phone, however, the actual site (memo.foolfactory.com) loads correctly, but the masked domain of memosalazar.com loads the desktop version of this site, even on a phone, which is a big problem for legibility. I need “memosalazar.com” to load the mobile version when on a phone.

Previously, I was having trouble loading the site at all via the redirect, and my server’s tech support fixed it this way:

“The X-Frame option of memo.foolfactory.com is set to “sameorigin”. This will restrict other domain name to embed your site. I have changed it to ALLOWALL.”

This worked, but then the current problem appeared- I’m not sure it’s related, but it seems to be. Support then told me they thought the problem was that i was using iFrame, but I needed to figure that out on my own. After a lot of fruitless research, I find myself here. Having no coding experience, I’m not even sure where to look or start, but I imagine the solution is obvious to anyone who understands this! Can someone advise?

    Thank you!

  • Hello @greenberger,

    Thank you for reaching out,

Your issue in this thread is not related to the theme and needs to be checked by your host provider.

However, you can try using the replace URL tool in Elementor. To do this, please head over to WP Dashboard > Elementor > Tools > Replace URL. For more information about the “Replace URL”, please read this link: https://elementor.com/help/i-changed-the-url-of-my-website-and-elementor-does-not-work-anymore/.

Note 1: To ensure all images will not be broken, please use developer tools for your browser > Go to the console tab and check the 404 errors when you don’t see any images on your website.

Note 2: If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, remember to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools.

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards
