• Hello

I am almost done with building this site but have noticed a couple of pickles which I can’t seem to get around when viewing the site on any mobile.

The first is that when scrolling down the page, there is enormous text, it’s fine on a desktop. I have changed it from a heading to a regular paragraph, but it’s still massive on mobile

The other is that when I make any changes to the site on the PC, it doesn’t update the mobile view, sometimes for days. It looks fine on the mobile view on the PC, but when I view it on any phone, the changes don’t show up. Would you know how to resolve this so that all updates are in real time?

Lastly, on all devices, there is a testimonials section which has a mad amount of padding below it. Would you know how I can reduce that so that it’s more fitting and without so much white space?

The site is being built using Gutenberg and Kadence.

    Thank you,

    Kate

Are you referring to the home page? Here’s how it currently looks on my end: https://share.getcloudapp.com/wbuL8bmN

Can you tell me which section you are referring to?

Based on what you have described, it looks like a browser cache on your mobile device. Try clearing the browser cache if this issue happens again: https://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache

You can also use an incognito / private window to bypass the browser cache.

“Lastly, on all devices, there is a testimonials section which has a mad amount of padding below it.”

You use two Row Layout for the Testimonials section. Kindly remove the bottom paddings for those Row Layouts – see screenshot of the setting: https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0uLKjmp

Also, remove the spacer block that has 100px height – see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/9ZuyRQ9m

    Hey @chitocamacho

Thank you for coming back to me. Always a pleasure!

The section which I was referring to was around the mid-section of the page. After I sent this question over, I worked on some optimisation for the site as well as clearing the cache for the site. I have a feeling that clearing the cache might have fixed this issue, which could be why it’s not showing anymore!

In regards to the testimonials, I think I have made the adjustments that you said. I have testimonials on a few pages and whilst there were slight changes, there is still a fair amount of white space. Would you have any more tips as to how I can reduce them?

These are on the home page, the about me page and the work with me page. They are also on the post pages, all 3 of them, but they look fine on those.

Other than that, I have found one more thing that looks poop. On the FAQ page, on my phone, there is a small contact form in green. When viewing it, the green contact form has expanded off the page. Would you know how I could get around that at all? ??

Thank you as ever for all your help. It’s massively appreciated!

    Thank you,

    Kate

    Hi, Kate!

“…there is still a fair amount of white space. Would you have any more tips as to how I can reduce them?”

I can still see the padding-bottom assigned is significant. Try to select “SM” or just decrease the current value you have there – https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuWqYmn.

“When viewing it, the green contact form has expanded off the page. Would you know how I could get around that at all??“

You’re using a Row Layout block with two columns. The column where you added the form has big padding values all around it – https://share.getcloudapp.com/12uk0XJr

Double-check the block settings for that specific Section’s padding for tablet and mobile views. This is how you can check it – https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuRm9ZB.

You can also change the unit there. Currently, you are using REM. Select PX so the padding values for the mobile views will be 20px, and much smaller.

I hope this helps, and let us know if we can help you further.

    Kind regards,
    Karla
