    Dear community,

I am having trouble getting the mobile view to work properly on my site. When I open it on my android device (yes, I’ve tried on more than one) i see the site but it is completely un-styled. However, when I test the site using Responsinator or Google Mobile Friendly, everything appears fine. The site loads and can be viewed flawlessly. It just doesn’t work on the actual device. I’ve tried 4 different android browsers and also cleared the cache on all of them…

I’ve done some research and it appears there might be a problem with my .htaccess file but most of the cases I’ve come across were too different for the solution to apply. I’ve deleted the .htaccess file and reset the permalinks to recreate it but to no avail…

    Can someone please help?

Does the issue persist when disabling the ‘olevmedia-shortcodes’ plugin?

    Hi Andrew,

Yes, it does. I just installed that plugin today. I’ve had issues with the mobile view since I installed the theme when I had virtually no additional WordPress plugins.

    Regards,

    Sebastian

Hmm I am afraid that it looks like your site has been compromised

What does that mean exactly? Is there anything I can do?

    How I found this out:
I was using Chrome’s developer tools to explore why you were getting Redirect issues. When clicking on one of the links that came up as failed request in the developer tools, the link eventually forwarded onto a pornography website.

So unless you know anything about that, someone’s trying to spam your website on mobile.

    Here’s a resource I would recommend you read: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked

    Hi Andrew,

First of all, many thanks for your support!

I’ve read the page you linked to. I’ve run scans using both Sucuri Security and Word Fence – both show that my site is clean. As my site is new, I plan on deleting and reinstalling everything. However, I would like to get to the bottom of this exploit. I still have access to my admin account so I’m guessing my site has not been totally compromised.

Can you offer any guidance on which files I should check? .htaccess looks clean to me…
