Mobile view, text stacked vertically

When viewing my login page on an iPad mini, portrait oriented, all the text (username, password) appears vertically, one letter at a time. Like this:

a

And the user input fields are one character wide too.

If I rotate the screen to landscape, it looks fine. On my iPhone, I get the same problem (everything vertical) when in landscape orientation, and a completely blank page when in portrait. Everything looks fine when viewed on a desktop computer. Any fix for this?
