    Hi

Thanks for the great plugin. I think it is great for making visual tutorials, too.=)

I am using a free version, and I have been concerned with how well it performs on mobile devices. Most of my sections are using a full-width image in the body which is rather heavy – 4000:2000px. I am also using WPtouch on the site. When I open the page on my smartphone, it does not scale the pictures at all. I understand they are huge (although since it is a tutorial, I may not want to scale them down), but I don’t think scaling them down will solve the issue – WPtouch does not seem to scale them down properly. Is there anything I could do about it?

Another issue I have noticed is that it the editor doesn’t work with Shortcodes Ultimate. It does show the shortcodes, but it won’t insert them when I clicl the button. I have to insert them in a separate post and then copy-paste them in the body of the landing page.

Thanks again for a great plugin, really works well on desktop for tutorials. I hope you can help me with my first issue.

    Cheers

    Hello snakiest,

Regarding the image issue, just tested on default WordPress themes and it works for me, I can’t strip theme’s functionality since people expect to add similar content as they have in their themes. This is really a theme issue, if your theme is not responsive alternatively you could do the following:
    1. use a plugin that adds responsive images
    2. switch editor in text mode and add a style to that image: Ex: <img style=”width:100%” src=”” />

Regrading the shortcode issue, I’m aware of this, however this “shortcodes generators” (including Avada’s) consider that you have a single editor within that edit page, you have multiple editors so they don’t send the code to the current one, I didn’t find a solution for that since their implementation is different (depends on how the developer chooses). As “Add media” and other buttons work just fine, a shortcode helper button should send the data to it’s own editor. If those third party buttons don’t work, I’m afraid you have to insert shortcodes manually.

    Hi

Thank you for the reply. I did fix it by excluding the page from WPtouch pages. Still, making it WPtouch compatible might be something to look into in the future. It works fine on responsive themes, though.

It may be an irrelevant question, but I still don’t understand how background images work. They behave pretty badly even in responsive themes, often cutting off parts of the picture. I like the fixed image position effect – I use it as padding between main slides – but I also want those images to carry some meaning, and when parts of the message get cut off, it doesn’t look good. Yes, I am using an image for that purpose. I am not using any text in most of the slides.

    Thanks again!

Well, it cuts parts of the image in order to fit it on the designated space , this depends on what kind of screen your watching it, Ex: you upload a landscape background image (1980×1080), than you see it on a portrait screen (phone), I have to position it on centre (left and right edges will not show up because the background it’s landscape and the screen it’s portrait).

    Regards!

Thanks for the info! I thought background images were fit to width. Good to know. Thanks again!
