I found your plugin and it fits perfectly with what I was looking for. But, for some reason the entire div of the mobmenu doesn’t show. I looked into the code and none of the code from the plugin shows on both the Home Page and one other page, which I also use the Home Page Template with.

https://prnt.sc/yuk82r Here is a screenshot, you can see below the blank space where the mobmenu is supposed to be, this blank space is just caused by padding but for some reason, it doesn’t show at all.

I can provide code if you need it, also wanted to mention that this is a custom theme that I’m creating for this website.

I’ve seen this situation a couple of times and it was related to the cache plugins that were being used.

Do you have any cache plugin? can you disable it temporarily to check if the mobile menu shows up in the homepage?

Oh boy, that was it for me Rui! Any ideas how to proceed though? We have a super image-heavy blog and need the caching. Thanks for being so quick to help.

I have 2 articles for Autoptimize and WP Rocket, in other plugins, it should be similar the idea is to exclude our scripts from the minifying process that can break the behaviour of the script.

I’ve disabled all my plugins except for the Mobile Menu plugin, and I’m still having the same issue.

Rui, thanks so much. Excluding does not work in the Breeze plugin (even though it’s an option), switching to Autoptimize did the trick, didn’t even have to add the exclude yet.

@21cscott does your host have a built in caching system or Must Use Plugin?

@christinaleans Not that I know of, the only plugin listed under Must Use is “installatron_hide_status_test.php”

Thanks for the URL. It seems that your theme isn’t implementing the usual body_class() function.

Hey, @takanakui thanks for the quick reply! This is the first time I’m creating my own custom theme, and I’m not sure what I’m not including here. In my header.php I do use the “<body <?php body_class(); ?>>” tag. Is there something else I have to include in my functions.php?

The classes seem to be showing now but the mobile menu doesn’t appear.
Try to switch to a WordPress default theme to see if it works.

It could be caused by the theme customizations.

Yeah, it does work on the default theme. I know it’s something to do with my custom theme. Just still trying to figure out what is causing this and how to fix it.

So, I found out what is causing it but I’m not sure why. I’m using a separate footer for the Home Page, but when I set the footer to the default one that I use for my other pages the menu loads in perfectly. Not sure if this is a problem for anyone else, but it’s something to look into. My solution is just going to be to use my default footer and place the text that I need on the home page somewhere else besides the footer.
