Mock Multi-site plugins? Displaying 2nd blog content on blog 1

I run two blogs, one displaying content in grid format and the other in a more “traditional” blog format. I’d like to find a way to display content from blog 2 on blog one as one of the grids without having to do a redirected link or installing multisite. Is there a plugin for that (other than displaying RSS)?

Basically, I’d like posts from the other blog to display as a category on my grid site.
