Hi, I’ve just started developing WordPress themes a few days ago and I’ve installed this Easy Modal into my WP. I put the <a href link in a post, selected the modal that I want below the post but when I view my page and click on it, nothing is appearing, checked console no errors or anything. I’m running my project on MAMP server, I’m not sure if I’m missing anything?

    Thanks for the help! ??

  • Hello.
I’ve installed Easy Modal, created a modal and set it to load sitewide. However, nothing is loading. I also tried turning off sitewide and selecting it to work on a single page, but also nothing loads.

I double checked page source and can see the modal code and javascript, wp footer.

I’d be happy to purchase at least single user for this website, but need to confirm that it will work.

    Can you help?

    Hey designguy,

I checked out the url you gave and see the modal, no errors in the console but i didnt find a button or link to click that had the eModal-1 class on them to trigger it.

Can you tell me what i should be clicking to open it?

Wow, thank you for such a quick response!

I’m sorry. I thought Easy Modal worked as an automatic pop up upon page load, using cookies to open only upon a user’s first visit.

    My misunderstanding – sorry.

That can be setup, it is also included as a feature of the pro version. The free version however would have to be setup via JS.

hi, could you teach me a little bit more about essential things?
So sorry but I didn’t understand what is wp_footer(”); or header or such thing,,,,

It might be silly question for you, but I don’t understand what I should put to where at all,,,

I use the site-wide option now but would like to disable that as every page loads all the modals I have. As I was checking everything in WC3 validator I noticed this. My question is doesn’t it slow down the website if it has to load tons of modals?

So now I would like to load a modal when requested from individual pages. Your above instruction unfortunately aren’t real clear to me.

I load the modal from a button within a “global content block” this way:
    <button class="eModal-1">Register</button>

When I disable the site wide option nothing happens when clicking on that button.

Never mind, I figured it out. Here are the steps:

First, disable the site wide option(s).

Now go the the page on which you would like to include the modal(s)

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a modal box with all the modals listed (they do not show if the option site wide is set to on)

Next insert your link(s) or your button call(s) to the modal(s) on that same page. Repeat for every page you wish to include a modal or modals.

It’s really simple once you figure it out.

Glad you got it working, we are rewriting a lot of the plugin for the next version. This will likely allow you to choose how a modal is to be loaded, on every page, per page/post, or ajax(only in new version). This should make it more clear what that option means. As it currently causes quite a bit of confusion. As well as programatically loading modals via php functions.

Hello, I have almost same problem: all installed, button created but modal window does not showing. Sitewide selected.

Here are link to the site:
    https://www.interior-world.com.ua/

Link for opening modal in top right corner.

Thanks a lot for your response…

Here are I found some warning after plugin activation:
The plugin generated 185 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

Thanks sail4ever. I’ve added an additional step that’s easy to miss:
First, disable the site wide option(s).

Now go the the page on which you would like to include the modal(s)

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a modal box with all the modals listed (they do not show if the option site wide is set to on)
*** Click on the modal you wish to show so it’s selected & update the page / post.

Next insert your link(s) or your button call(s) to the modal(s) on that same page. Repeat for every page you wish to include a modal or modals.

    Hey Oleksandr B. and CarolKa,

Sorry i didnt get with you sooner. I kinda locked myself away working on the latest version of this plugin. v2 will bring the wow in the free version and there are some great things happening with the pro versions as well.

Glad you got it working and know that the new version won’t be quite as confusing as far as sitewide setting goes.

Hi, I’m making all the steps you already told, but nothing seems to work, can you help me please?
    the page is:
    https://desarrolladores.payulatam.com/api-pagos/
the modal’s name is “Ver monedas admitidas”

    Thanks
