Moderation notifications?

    Hi Vinny !

    Since bbPress 2.6.1 seems to trigger topics and replies as pending if there are 2 images included I need a way to know that there is a topic or reply marked as pending.

    I know that i can visit the topics | replies area of the back end and will see that some are pending. But I am not always on my computer nor managing the website. So a email to all admin users whenever a topic | reply is flagged as “pending” could be appreciated. With a link to it is some manner (maybe in the approriate backend list. Up to you.

    Is this possible or can it already be done?

    I don’t want to install that moderation tools plugin.

    I just noticed you have this plugin:

    bbPNNS/bbPress Moderation Plugin Bridge

    To quote:

    bbPress Moderation Add-On is a bridge between bbPress Notify (No-Spam) and bbPress Moderation, and currently depends on both to work properly. Admins can set it so that Moderators (and optionally themselves) receive notifications of Pending topics and replies.

    This sounds like what I want, but:

    1. I don’t want to use bbPress Moderation because I do not want every post sent to pending.
    2. I would prefer something that is either free or a one off payment because my site is not commercial and I already have to pay for a lot of things to keep it and my software secure / digitally signed etc.

    Hi Andrew,

    Sorry for the delay to reply. I reviewed my plugin code and it does exactly what you need (whitelists ‘pending’ status as something notifiable and forces bbp_moderator and optionally admins) of the new topic/reply.

    I originally wrote it to work with bbpressmoderation plugin but in the current state of bbPress, it doesn’t look like it’s needed anymore.

    I’ll be making a few adjustments this week to better handle some of the newer bbpnns recipient options.

    As for payment, you don’t have to have an active subscription for the plugin to work. You just won’t get updates or support after it expires.
