Moderation page timing out

    Ok, let’s try this again. still not resolved. I need to clear out the 700+ spam comments that have accumulated in my moderation queue. When I go to delete, I only see about 340 posts, and the page times out so there is NO option to delete any of them! Let alone select all as spam and take care of it. I see a message at the bottom:

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in/home/.grapes/reneerose68/reneelertzman.org/blog/wp-includes/functions-formatting.php on line 44

    I don’t see how I can get around this problem to finally remove my huge amount of spam. Any advice is appreciated; is this something WordPress can help me resolve? Cheers. Renee
