Modified Easy White theme , can it be made better?

My blog https://www.usablogg.org has a modified ‘Easy White’ theme with some modifications and add-ons.

I wanted to have a row of pictures at the top and couldn’t find any plug-in so I added them on my own. Same with the somewhat primitive action bar.

I am looking for a better comment-pugin so if anyone can recomment one, or make any other suggestions for improvements so let me know.
