modify local site and tranfer of modifications to the hosting

Hello

I have finished making my WordPress site locally with MAMP on Mac.

However, before transferring it to my web host, as I want to anticipate problems, I want to know the procedure for:
1) modify my site locally (under MAMP)
2) after transferring ONLY the updates to the web host
(and not to transfer the whole site again, which seems to me to be a bad manipulation…).
Transfer :
– modified pages
– new pages created
– and if a modification or a creation of page involves the modification of the database, also carry out this transfer of modification (note that I do not know which manipulation modifies the database).

Please, note:
Even if I am an advanced user in computer, I am a beginner for this part of protocols and operation of website.
So, please, if you could describe in detail (step by step) the procedure (ex. Transfer the modified files… but how to identify these files and where they are located?)
