Modify the email notification footer

    I’m trying to remove the default footer “Powered by?SenseiLMS.com” in the email notifications. I see that the help documentation (https://senseilms.com/documentation/email-notifications/) has instructions however it does not match what I’m seeing on my dashboard. Sensei > Settings > Email ‘<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Notifications'</span> does not exist nor the notification/settings checkboxes shown in the instructions. Sensei > Settings > Email does exist but can only edit the main email content and not able to customize the footer. Any help is appreciated. thanks!

    Hey @tamdoankc – To remove the footer text, you can go to WP Admin ? Sensei LMS ? Settings ? Email Notifications, and in Email Footer Text, you can remove the text or add your custom text to show it in the emails.

    Hi @bizanimesh I finally found the Email Notifications settings. It seems that the only way to get to it is WP Admin > Sensei LMS > Home > Quick Links > Settings > Email Notifications. You may need to update the documentation to reflect where it can be accessed.

    Having said that, I’ve tried changing and removing the Email Footer Text but it still doesn’t change it on the email notifications. I’m not sure if the Email Footer Text field is related to the email notifications footers my students are receiving. The footer students are receiving has the senseilms logo and senseilms hyperlink and not text only as shown in the Email Footer Text field. Also changing colors have no effect either so not sure if those settings are working. See screenshot below.

    My problem is the same.

    Have no change with Email Notification Settings.

    I buy the pro license but. Sensei insert their link in every email footer to my customers. It’s not fair

    Hey @tamdoankc and @tohaitrieu – Please ignore my last reply.

    Could you please confirm if you are using Sensei LMS plugin version 4.13.0? Because in this version the process to change the email footer text has been changed. To chance the email footer text, you will need to go to?WP Admin ? Appearance ? Editor ? Templates ? Sensei LMS?and then change the text in the footer of the email template.

    The above process will change it for all emails but if you want to remove it from specific emails then you can follow the process as shown here:?https://imgur.com/9zd3Quc

    I’ve tried both ways I’m still having issues:

    I’m on SenseiLMS 4.13.0, WordPress 6.2, Astra 4.1.2, and Astra Pro 4.1.3. WP Admin ? Appearance ? Editor isn’t working on Astra theme. When clicking on the Editor (beta) link it will return the error message: “The theme you are currently using is not compatible with the Site Editor.” I also did a bit a research and Astra may not yet be supported: https://wordpress.com/support/site-editor/

    I’ve tried the second option of removing it from specific emails but I don’t have the option to edit the template. See screenshot.

    Is there any other ways of editing the email footer without changing themes?

    Hi @tamdoankc,

    Thanks for checking up on this. Our developers are working on a fix for this issue however the fix still requires some more rigorous testing before the release. We are tentatively aiming to release the fix with the next plugin update.

    Until then I recommend using the following workaround to edit the footer text.

    Install Theme Switcha plugin -> temporarily switch to Twenty Twenty Three theme -> Make changes to the Sensei email template -> Switch back to the main theme for your website.

    With the Theme Switcha plugin when you switch to a different theme, the changes do not show up to the visitors of your website and on switching back all the previous theme settings, and configuration is preserved.
