Modifying repeating events

If you modify the first event of a repeating event and select to modify that occurrence only, it still modifies all the repeating events. I create an event for Friday, October 25 at 7:00 PM and repeat it until Sunday, October 27 (3 dates) and publish it. I then go in and modify the Sunday October 27 event to start at 2:00 PM and click on “Update”. Then I go back and edit the Friday, October 25 event that I started with and change the end time and click “Update”. It asks to update “Only this occurrence” or “For all occurrences in the series”. I select “Only this occurrence” and click “submit” and it modifies the other two occurrences, too. (The end time is changed on both the other events and the start time for the Sunday event is set back to 7:00 PM.)
