Modifying the Category Name Layout on Write Page?

  • I have 4 category names. The fourth category has 4 sub categories. I am using belongstocat.php so that posts assigned to a sub category only show up in the sub category.

    I want to be able to put a space between the third and fourth category and get rid of the check box of the fourth so that nothing will be posted to the fourth but still have the subs.

    I know it’s a little strange but I don’t know of any other way to be able to segregate and indent a group categories in the layout.

    Any suggestions?

    I can’t do that at this time because of some proprietary secrets.

    On the WP 1.2.2 Write page I simply want to be able to have a list of categories and then a space and then another list of categories that are indented (not necessarily sub categories)

    Is that possible?

    Before you get much further into whatever delightful secrets you are working on, I recommend you stop everything and upgrade to WordPress v1.5. You’ll wish you would have.

    And it’s handling of categories is way far superior to 1.2. It also has some other awesome features that may help you.
