• Hi,
My site shows the module on the builder and I have looked at all other posts and tried those solutions (image size (I’ve set to full), lazy loading plugins, deactivating those with known conflicts like Jet Pack etc) but none of them have worked. My post is a draft and is scheduled to release alongside a youtube video and I can’t publish it earlier than that time (Sunday, 8am in this case).

I have tried all I can but it isn’t showing on the preview at all. Google console says this:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'offsetWidth' of undefined
        at HTMLDivElement.<anonymous> (frontend-bundle.min.js:1)
        at Function.each (jquery.js:2)
        at a.fn.init.each (jquery.js:2)
        at frontend-bundle.min.js:1
        at dispatch (jquery.js:3)
        at r.handle (jquery.js:3)

Thank you if you can help

@jessbmp Hello, thank you for writing and testing those solutions. Are you using the latest version of the plugin (v.1.3.3)? Here are some other ideas to test:

    • Try to select other sizes such as 300×300, etc. (whatever is available on your site). Does that error occur with all image sizes?
    • Try to use other images. Does the error occur with all images?
    • Does the error occur only in Preview mode? Try to add the before/after slider to a privately published test page.

Please share the link after the post is published, or create a temporary administrator account for [email protected] and I’ll login and see if I can help troubleshoot further. You can also try using a different before/after slider plugin such as Supreme Modules Lite, which has a before/after slider module: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/supreme-modules-for-divi/.

For reference, here is the demo version of Before + After Images for Divi using with the latest version of WordPress (5.4.1 currently) and Divi Builder (currently 4.4.8): https://www.boltonstudios.com/before-after-images-for-divi/

@jessbmp There was a typo in my previous reply. The email to use is [email protected]. I corrected that in the previous reply.

Hey Aaron, the post is public now as I released the video a day early. The module still does not show on the front end. I’ve tried your suggestions in terms of the sizes and using other images and still no joy. I only installed the plugin yesterday so it will be the most recent version I think?

I have two speed plugins running on the site, Siteground’s own and JetPack. I have tried deactivating both and clearing cache. I also have Cloudflare running server side and have deactivated that, flushed cache and no success.

    The post is here: https://www.thatdogspot.co.uk/kit-review-topaz-denoise-ai-review/
The B+A sliders should be showing immediately above the two image side by side, I’ve only put them there so that something is there!

    Thanks,
    Jess

@jessbmp Thank you for sending the link and trying those suggestions. I don’t yet know the source of the error but I think I can fix it based on my initial review. I’ll work on a bug patch for this issue in version 1.3.4 and release it as soon as I can. ETA by tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

@jessbmp Hello, I pushed an update tonight v1.3.4 that I thought would solve the problem discussed in this thread — but after it went live, I noticed an error with the image overlay transparency on some remote sites that I manage. I didn’t catch the error in my local testing so I had to push another update, v1.3.5, that reverts the specific change until I can do more testing. I will need more time to push an update that solves the problem discussed in this thread and interacts properly with the overlay. This will happen but I don’t have a new ETA at the moment. Sorry for the delay.

In the meantime, you can download version 1.3.4 from the Advanced View of the plugin page at the link below. That version should address the specific error shown in Google Console on your site. In this version, the overlay transparency may extend beyond the bounds of your before/after slider, but you should be able get around that (if it happens) by selecting the “Full Size” image option. In the following link, Scroll down to Advanced Options > Previous Versions. Select 1.3.4 from the dropdown, then click Download.
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/before-after-images-for-divi/advanced/

Install version 1.3.4 and do not update to v1.3.5 if prompted in your WordPress Dashboard. Please let me know if that solves the problem of the module not showing on the front-end. Thank you.

    Hi Aaron,

Sorry, I completely forgot to reply to this thread and test the solution of using an older version. I can confirm that the fix works and the module shows. Please can you update this when a fix is released in a new version?

Thank you for your hard work!
